Alisha recently returned to SMARInsights after spending nearly 5 years as the Director of Research and Analytics with Discover Puerto Rico. Having recently served at a DMO, Alisha has a keen understanding of how executive teams need to utilize research to not only position the destination for marketing and sales but often defend those decisions to industry leaders, government agencies, and detractors.
Alisha is especially effective at making research actionable and providing direction for both internal and external audiences. She is not only skilled at finding the story through data analysis but also in synthesizing consumer qualitative feedback. Alisha has moderated in-person, online, and bulletin board focus groups for more than 15 years.
Alisha is active in the tourism industry, serving on the research committee of the U.S. Travel Association and having presented at conferences for Skift, Destinations International, and the Travel & Tourism Research Association.
